About Detroit Housing Commission

Welcome to the Detroit Housing Commission website! As the largest public housing agency in Michigan, we continue to be a catalyst for change. We are pleased with the transformation DHC has made over the last few years. We have modernized our public housing stock, developed state of the art affordable housing in mixed-income communities, and streamlined internal processes to ensure excellent customer service. In addition, we work to enhance quality of life for the people we serve by offering our customers opportunities to participate in a multitude of community, educational, recreational, home ownership, and training programs.
